WXM Clothing is a clothing brand co-founded by Ollie Plamer, the striker of Wrexham FC. The brand is inspired by the football club’s colours, history and growing reputation worldwide after the release of the TV series “Welcome to Wrexham” and the new owners and Holywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
After a long 6-month period of perfecting the product design and manufacturing, the owners of WXM clothing were referred to Your Digital Media to assist with the finalisation and preparation of the Shopify store for launch.
The challenges we faced included but were not limited to a short time to launch and a limiting supplier API.
In a time frame of 2 weeks, we had to work around and prioritise tasks in order to tidy up the store design, optimise the user experience and import all the products and content.
On top of that, we had to work within boundaries regarding the product merchandising in order to comply with the logistics API.
Over 80% of WXM Clothing’s customers are mobile users, so we made sure the website is fully responsive and optimised for all devices and screen sizes to give all of its customers the best buying experience possible.
Our focus was to leverage as much as possible the theme layouts in order to achieve the desired look and feel while still staying with our limited time frame. We were able to apply the branding elements and achieve a simple yet effective experience that focuses on ease of ordering and browsing.
We worked with the logistics team to integrate the products with the API while making sure that the connection between the two doesn’t break for launch. We then structured the products and collections accordingly and imported all the store and products content.
At launch time, as we were expecting over 10,000 sessions, we were standby for any issues and were quick to tackle anything that was required to improve the user experience and make sure everything works as expected. After a successful launch and 48 hours later, all products were marked as sold out.
