Overview

Roots is a Sydney-based body care company and is on a mission to “make sustainable living a joy”. They created a refillable deodorant applicator that looks good in the bathroom and will reduce numerous bathroom products being thrown away every year.

Challenge

Our biggest challenge during the development and launch phase was creating a custom order reservation solution for their 2023 shipment and working on a limited timeframe to craft the perfect look for the website that will reflect the brand feel and the quality of Roots deodorants.

Most of Roots target customers are mobile users so we made the website fully-responsive to give all of its customers the best buying experience possible.

The design

We focused on designing an engaging store showcasing the deodorant applicator and refills while keeping the sustainability vibe. We utilised design elements that align with their brand and optimised the overall design for mobile responsiveness for seamless shopping.

The development

Our team developed a YDM-grade theme that is fully scalable and customisable. We also architected a solid Shopify backend that will help Root’s team manage the store seamlessly.
