Nomoo is one of the leading plant-based ice cream brands in Germany with extended in-store recognition across the country’s top supermarkets. They are also offerring their ice cream products online which, of course, comes with a few challenges.
The Challenge
The biggest challenge NOMOO was facing was getting their customers to purchase their ice cream online directly from them. One of the factors that contributed to this was the lack of an intuitive online purchasing experience on mobile devices. Their previous design focused a lot on showcasing their products but didn’t do great on making it easy for their customers to checkout with a few easy and distinct steps, and clear CTAs.
The objectives were clear: redesign the B2C and B2B platform to enhance the user experience, improve the customer journey and increase the online revenue.

The design
Our team focused on displaying the products and natural ingredients to stimulate the users and picture themselves enjoying the products. We also focused on utilising different design elements to deliver the message of the brand while staying withing the brand guidelines and corporate messaging. As part of our design process, we always keep in mind the responsiveness of the website so users can shop on any type of device.
The development
Our team developed a fully-configurable custom Shopify theme within the desired time frame by following our proven development process. We implemented a subscription model on the website for recurring purchases and incentivised the customers with discounts. Our team also focused on optimising the theme on every step of the way to ensure that we delivered a fast and reliable E-commerce website.
