Position Overview:

We are actively seeking a Senior Shopify Developer to join our development team. In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in crafting high-performing and customized Shopify stores while providing mentoring and guidance to our talented developers. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Shopify Developers on all e-commerce projects including code reviews, documentation, and team collaboration
• Work closely with Project Managers, QA engineers, UI/UX designers and clients to define scope, estimate project timelines, and deliver e-commerce projects
• Understand project requirements and convert design mockups to fully functional Shopify websites
• Develop custom Shopify themes using and extending our existing process and templates
• Write clean, optimised and well-documented code following the latest coding standards
• Implement and test responsive design with or without a Figma design
• Follow the standard web development process using ThemeKit and Git
• Extending Shopify’s functionalities to the next level using storefront APIs, liquid programming, metafields, etc
• Integrating third-party and platform-supported apps into the sites
• Page speed optimization of Shopify sites
• Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in Shopify sites
• Produce estimates and commit to deadlines in a professional manner
• Thoroughly QA work prior to submission
• Organize internal technical workshops to improve expertise in Shopify development and modern frontend technologies
• Assist in defining development standards, ensuring best practices for performance, accessibility, and maintainability

Job Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in the Shopify platform and theme development/customization
• 4+ years of front end development experience using Javascript, HTML5 & CSS3
• Have extensive knowledge of the Liquid templating engine and OS2.0 features
• Proficiency in working with different Shopify JS APIs (storefront, AJAX Cart, Sections etc.)
• Experience in writing vanilla Javascript code and familiarity with ES6
• Using npm/yarn and webpack as a bundler
• Demonstrate experience in implementing/debugging third-party Shopify apps, as well as building unique solutions
• Have extensive testing and debugging abilities using the browser dev tools and other tools
• Understand performance and its impact in the e-commerce space
• Good knowledge of version control with Git
• An ability to work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time
• A positive and upbeat attitude with great leadership and ownership skills
• Guide and mentor junior/mid-level developers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing, best practices, and continuous improvement.
• Strong decision-making abilities regarding technical architecture, scalability, and security best practices
• Ability to work autonomously while also providing strategic guidance to the broader development team
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Ability to work and lead in a multicultural team with colleagues from all around the world
