Position Overview:

We are actively seeking a skilled Shopify Developer to join our team. As an integral member, you'll be responsible for crafting high-performing and customized Shopify stores. If you have a strong background in Shopify development, collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, and possess a deep understanding of the e-commerce landscape, we invite you to join our 100% remote team. Your role will involve building, customizing, and optimizing Shopify stores, collaborating with Project Managers, UI/UX designers and QA Engineers, and ensuring the successful delivery of cutting-edge e-commerce solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding project requirements and converting design mockups to fully functional Shopify websites
• Developing custom Shopify themes using and extending our existing process and templates
• Write clean, optimised and well-documented code following the latest coding standards
• Implement and test responsive design with or without a Figma design
• Follow the standard web development process using ThemeKit and Git
• Extending Shopify’s functionalities to the next level using storefront APIs, liquid programming, metafields, etc
• Integrating third-party and platform-supported apps into the sites
• Page speed optimization of Shopify sites
• Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in Shopify sites
• Occasionally work with frontend HTML developers to integrate HTML/css pages into a fully-configurable theme
• Produce estimates and commit to deadlines in a professional manner
• Thoroughly QA work prior to submission
• Have ownership over projects while also ensuring collaboration with every team to meet due dates

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in the Shopify platform and theme development/customization
• 4+ years of front end development experience using Javascript, HTML5 & CSS3
• Have extensive knowledge of the Liquid templating engine and OS2.0 features
• Proficiency in working with different Shopify JS APIs (storefront, AJAX Cart, Sections etc.)
• Experience in writing vanilla Javascript code and familiarity with ES6
• Using npm/yarn and webpack as a bundler
• Demonstrate experience in implementing/debugging third-party Shopify apps, as well as building unique solutions
• Have extensive testing and debugging abilities using the browser dev tools and other tools
• Understand performance and its impact in the e-commerce space
• Good knowledge of version control with Git
• An ability to work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time
• A positive and upbeat attitude with great leadership and ownership skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Ability to work and lead in a multicultural team with colleagues from all around the world
